Even with the most reliable set of double-glazed windows, sealed units can become beyond repair. Fortunately, we can supply single or multiple units that can replace the faulty sealed units and fit them correctly so the double-glazed units will no longer mist.
How do you tell when a double glazed unit needs replacing? You can look for some signs that will help you identify any potential issues. First thing in the morning clean the window inside and out. On a winters day put the heating on in the house and throughout the day check if there is any condensation in the unit. You may need to have a cloth handy as sometimes it’s difficult to tell if the unit has condensation inside or out. If it is a summers day make sure you don’t open the windows in the room you are testing as this will equal the temperatures.
Another sign of a sealed unit breaking down is water marks inside the glass. You may not notice the slight condensation, but you may notice white water marks on a sunny day.
